By creating an account or using Where's The Farmer ("the App", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Where's The Farmer is a discovery and communication platform connecting customers with local farmers, butchers, and fresh produce sellers. Customers can discover public profiles and listings, save favourites, chat with farmers, request multi-item deliveries, and see delivery progress. Farmers can create profiles and catalogues, publish listings, receive requests, manage deliveries, collect reviews, and view sales information. We do not act as a seller, food business, courier, or payment intermediary for purchases between customers and farmers.
If you enable map features, OpenFreeMap provides the map tiles. Location search is a separate feature: when you type a place, address or postal code, the app sends that search through our server to Google Maps Platform's Geocoding service to find matching places worldwide, even if the map is off. Choosing a Google Maps location or directions link opens Google's service. See our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy for details.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement.
By uploading images, listings, reviews, messages, or other text to the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and store that content for the purpose of operating the App. You retain ownership of your content. You confirm that you have the right to upload any content you submit (e.g. you took the photos yourself).
You must not upload content that is:
Reviews and public profile information may be visible to other users. Chat messages and delivery request details are shared with the people involved in that conversation so the requested service can be arranged.
Where's The Farmer is a discovery and communication tool only. We are not a party to any transaction, agreement, or dispute between a customer and a farmer. Customers and farmers are responsible for agreeing the product, price, payment method, delivery arrangements, refunds, and any applicable legal requirements. Farmers may direct customers to Stripe, Revolut, or a hosted payment link, but we do not hold or settle those customer-to-farmer funds. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, authenticity, availability, or legality of any product listed on the platform. Users transact entirely at their own risk.
A delivery request is a request for a farmer to consider. It is not a confirmed sale until the farmer accepts it. Requests may include multiple products, quantities, requested delivery dates, addresses, Eircodes, map pins, and notes. A farmer may accept or decline a request and is responsible for updating its delivery status. Delivery statuses are informational and do not guarantee that a delivery will be completed.
Reviews must be honest, relevant, and based on a genuine interaction. We may remove reviews that are unlawful, abusive, deceptive, discriminatory, or unrelated to the app's purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Where's The Farmer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We aim to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or suspend the service without notice.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via the App or email where possible.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply to you.
